research has revealed that people get their best night's sleep on a Tuesday
evening and not during the weekend. Although there's no definitive reason why we
find it easier to drift off on a Tuesday night, it's probably because our sleep
is less likely to be interrupted by alcohol, lavish foods and other indulgences.
Experts analysed more than a billion round the clock readings recorded by heart
monitors worn by 4866 men and women. The research project is one of the biggest
of its kind and data was collected from volunteers for three consecutive days
during a decade-long period. Participants were also asked to provide their sleep
times and gave information on how stressed they were on each day. The findings
revealed that, while people did spend more time in bed Adidas Yeezy Boost Sale during the
weekend, the sleep quality wasn't as good and there was less time spent in
'recovery state', compared to week days. Recovery state sleep can be determined
by a drop in blood pressure and stress hormones and it's been proven to help the
restorative process of the body.The research, which was conducted by Finnish
analytics company Firstbeat, showed that just 48 per cent of Saturday night and
48.7 per cent of Friday night's sleep was rejuvenating. While Tuesday night's
sleep proved to be the most revitalising, racking up 55.1 per cent of
