MONTREAL -- Stephan Leblanc scored four goals as Canada edged the Iroquois
Nationals 12-11 on Sunday in an exhibition lacrosse game.

and Jordan Hall also scored for Canada. Matt Vinc went the distance for the

seconds left, and Vinc went down to stop a bounce shot to preserve Canadas lead.
It was the first meeting since Canada defeated the Iroquois 13-6 in the final of
the 2011 world tournament in Prague. The Onandaga Nation of New York State is
hosting the event in 2015. Canada went 17-0 in winning the first three world
indoor championships. A youth game was played between Canadas under-17 team and
an Iroquois side before the main event, with Canada winning 13-8.

- The Edmonton Oilers have traded winger Linus Omark to the Buffalo Sabres for a
conditional sixth-round pick. Omark has spent the vast majority of this season
with Edmontons AHL affiliate, the Oklahoma City Barons. He played just 9:04 in
one game for the Oilers on Nov. 7 and did not have a point. A fourth-round pick
in the 2007 draft, Omark spent parts of two seasons with the Oiilers before
leaving to play for Zug in Switzerlands National League A.
Cory Harkey Jersey. In 66 career NHL games,
Omark has eight goals and 22 assists. He has been a point-a-game player in the
AHL this season. Acquiring Omark is the first trade made by Pat LaFontaine since
becoming president of hockey operations. LaFontaine is in the midst of
interviewing general-manager candidates.
