The Dolphins' casa is Kiko Alonso's casa.

The linebacker of Cuban-Colombian heritage answers affectionately in Spanish to a question on what he likes about the city of Miami and the team, saying he feels completely at home with the large contingent of Latino fans and his teammates:

Though he had never lived in the city, he had family members there. His father, Carlos, grew up in nearby Puerto Rico.

"The second I got the call, I was excited," said Alonso, who went on to record two interceptions and 115 combined tackles in 15 games while helping the Dolphins reach the postseason for the first time in eight years.

"It's not easy to make the playoffs, especially starting off 1-4," Alonso said. "A lot of teams could have mailed it in, but we dug deep and it was definitely a great achievement."

On the field and off, Alonso has embraced Miami's culture. While some players might not be pleased about extra media responsibilities, Alonso has been only too happy to practice his conversation skills with local Spanish-language reporters. His parents prioritized keeping all three of their sons bilingual.

"On car rides, or in the house, they'd say, 'OK, we're only speaking Spanish,' " Alonso recalled. "Otherwise, I don't think I would be able to speak it like I do today. Obviously, the more I speak it, the better I get."

Alonso will get the chance to practice even more Spanish in an offseason project especially important to him -- a camp in late April he is coordinating with the Puerto Rico American Football Academy.

"Puerto Rico has historically had a Pee-Wee and high school league," said Frank Lopez, PRAFA vice president, noting most people aren't aware of the island's talent in American football. "We're trying to let people know and bring more opportunities to these kids. Our main goal is to be able to help kids get scholarships and opportunities in the United States through the sport of football."

Over 300 participants ranging from age 8 to 16 are already registered for Alonso's camp, as well as a number of coaches.

"We're going to have all the league<a href="http://www.authenticpatriotsstore.com/shop-by-players-earl-mitchell-jersey-c-1_18.html">Earl Mitchell Womens Jersey</a>  coaches participate, so that they learn the drills," Lopez said.

Alonso is taking more than his Spanish skills and famous NFL friends to the event.

"We're bringing a lot of equipment that is not available [in Puerto Rico] and we're going to be donating it to the different clubs in Puerto Rico so they can start improving their training techniques and we can develop better athletes," Lopez said, mentioning specifically the island is getting its first NFL five-man tackling sled.

"In the long run, we want to set up a football training facility," Alonso said.

Other future plans include working out a visit to Cuba with his parents, trying to convince more of his teammates to embrace Puerto Rican reggaeton music and getting the Dolphins further into the playoffs. One possibility Alonso's not concerned about is a likely position switch on the field this upcoming season.

"Linebacker, inside or out, at the end of the day, it's the same thing," Alonso said. "It's run around and hit people. They put me outside, it's fine."

It's easier to accept changes when one feels positive about a situation.

"There is high correlation between quality of life and happiness of workers," Sharma said.

The contentment Alonso now feels comes partly because he finally has had a chance to show his true talent in Miami.

Wenn die Unternehmenshistoriker eines Tages auf das Unternehmen Adidas  unter der 15jährigen Ägide Herbert Hainers zurückblicken, dürften sie dabei einen Hindernislauf vor dem inneren Auge haben. Zunächst waren da ein starker Start und eine dynamische erste Rennhälfte, dann der Patzer am Wassergraben mit nachfolgender Schwächephase, der der Konkurrenz neue Chancen eröffnete. Am Ende folgte noch ein unerwartet fulminanter Schlusssprint, der das Schlimmste verhinderte.

Adidas drohte zwischenzeitlich in der Tat, die Gunst der Investoren zu verlieren – doch spätestens seit Anfang 2015 ist der Glaube an die Kraft der Franken wieder da. Dass die Aktie sich seit Januar 2016 im Wert verdoppelt hat, lag aber auch am frischen Wind in der Führungsetage. Der Ex-Henkel-Chef Kasper Rorsted wurde mit Vorschusslorbeeren schon überhäuft, bevor er im vergangenen Oktober die Position als Vorstandsvorsitzender übernahm. Er ist als Erneuerer bekannt, als einer, der den Laden auf Vordermann bringen kann.

Bei Adidas ist das nötig, nachdem unter Vorgänger Hainer trotz vielfältiger Bemühungen doch einiges liegen geblieben war. Das gilt für die über Jahre schwächelnde Marge ebenso wie für den laxen Umgang mit den Vertriebskanälen. Zudem belastet eine mal kostspielige, mal inkonsequente Akquisitionspolitik, in deren Rahmen Töchter wie Reebok oder das von der Ertragsperle zum Sanierungsfall mutierte Salomon-Überbleibsel Taylor Made mehr oder minder unambitioniert durchgefüttert wurden.

Die Probleme sind adressiert, nach der Performance der vergangenen Monate stellt sich allerdings für viele die Frage: Wie viel geht da noch?

Viele Schuhe kann Adidas nur mit Rabatten verkaufen

Klar ist: Nike  hat nach wie vor in vielerlei Hinsicht die Nase vorn. Der US-Konzern schafft es, jeden zweiten Schuh zum vollen Preis zu verkaufen, bei Adidas werden 60 Prozent der Schuhe unter Listenpreis abgegeben, viele davon beim Discounter geradezu verramscht. In einer Branche, in der mit spitzem Bleistift gerechnet wird, sind das Welten. Zudem hat es Nike über seine Markenpolitik geschafft, begehrlicher und cooler zu wirken als der Weltkonzern aus dem mittelfränkischen Herzogenaurach.

Damit soll unter Rorsted nun Schluss sein. Die gute Nachricht für ihn ist, dass trotz der graduellen Verbesserungen in den vergangenen 18 Monaten durchaus noch Luft nach oben ist. Die Marge von Adidas liegt bei rund acht Prozent, Nike<a href="http://www.sportschuherabatt.com">http://www.sportschuherabatt.com</a>  weist mehr als 13 Prozent aus. Rorsted hat bei Henkel bewiesen, dass er Unternehmen profitabel aufstellen kann. Er ist erst seit einigen Monaten im Amt, de facto konnte er noch nicht viel bewegen. Ihm vertrauen heißt auch, an eine weitere Verbesserung zu glauben.

Die Herzogenauracher hatten sich allerdings schon vor der Ankunft des neuen Heilsbringers an den eigenen Haaren zumindest ein Stück weit aus dem Sumpf gezogen. Mit der 2015 ins Leben gerufenen Strategie „Creating the New“ sollen die wesentlichen Kennzahlen verbessert und die drei Streifen optimal am Markt platziert werden. Erste Erfolge sind nicht nur an der Börse sichtbar, auch Umsatz und Gewinn stiegen. Der Optimismus im Unternehmen ist groß, Anfang März wurden die Gewinnziele nach oben geschraubt.

Die Kooperation mit Kanye West zahlt sich aus

Dass das Unternehmen die Ausgaben für Marketing und Werbung hochgefahren hat, scheint also zu fruchten. Denn für Sportartikelhersteller, deren Produkte oft von austauschbarer Qualität sind, gibt es im Grunde genommen nur zwei Säulen, die Umsatzerfolg versprechen:

der Coolness-Faktor

das Leistungsversprechen.

Den Coolness-Faktor hat Adidas mittlerweile weit besser im Griff als früher. Die Kooperation mit dem Rapper Kanye West und die NMD Serie haben den Streifen auf dem enorm schwierigen US-Markt einen echten Imageschub verschafft – und von den US-Trends geht eine Strahlkraft auf die Jugendkultur in den meisten anderen Ländern aus.

Das Leistungsversprechen erkaufen sich Adidas wie auch Nike mit den hohen Kosten, die Jahr für Jahr für das Sportsponsoring anfallen. Wenn die<a href="http://www.sportschuherabatt.com">Nike Air Max Günstig</a>  Idole auf der Laufbahn, im Stadion oder auf dem Center Court mit den drei Streifen auflaufen, dann dürfte die Ausrüstung der persönlichen Leistung kaum abträglich sein und dienen auch dem Hobbykicker aus dem Stadtpark als Kaufargument.

Mit teurem Sponsoring werden Konkurrenten auf Distanz gehalten

Mit der neuen Boost-Technologie hat Adidas zudem erstmals die realistische Chance, die Erfolge von Nike mit der Air und der Free-Technologie nachzuzeichnen. Aktuell wächst Adidas in den USA schneller als der Konkurrent aus Atlanta.

Die beiden großen Namen profitieren dabei doppelt. Denn das teure Sportsponsoring dient auch dem Aufrechterhalten einer Marktbarriere. Es ist kein Wunder, dass es Dritten so schwer fällt, in der Breite Fuß zu fassen. Marken wie Fila oder Le Coq Sportif mussten die Erfahrung machen, dass es auf Dauer zu teuer ist, das Leistungsversprechen immer wieder neu zu untermauern.

Ähnlich geht es Under Armour, dessen Glanz trotz erstklassiger Reputation und unbestreitbar hohem Coolness-Faktor vor dem Hintergrund enttäuschender Unternehmenszahlen unlängst erste Kratzer abbekommen hat. Andere Wettbewerber wie Asics oder Umbro bleiben auf einzelne Sportarten oder Regionen begrenzt und dürften daher die kritische Größe nicht überschreiten.

Speedfactory für schnelle Lieferung

Sich auf den erzielten Erfolgen auszuruhen, ist allerdings für Nike oder Adidas ebenso unheilvoll wie für Sportler. Vielmehr gilt es, Trends zu setzen und am Ball zu bleiben, sei es durch Imageträger, sei es durch neue Technologien.

Derzeit experimentiert Adidas mit einer so genannten Speedfactory im beschaulichen Ansbach, in der pro Jahr vollautomatisch etwa eine Millionen Paar Schuhe hergestellt werden. Die Idee dahinter ist es, die Lieferketten zu beschleunigen, etwa um Modelle, die überraschend gut laufen, binnen weniger Tage in allen Geschäften vorrätig zu haben und damit aktuelle Trends schneller bedienen zu können. Schließlich frustriert waschechte Sneakerfans nichts so sehr wie die Aussicht, vom Trend überholt zu werden, während das Objekt der Begierde per Containerschiff von Vietnam nach Hamburg geschippert wird.

Ein Garant für Erfolg ist all das nicht. I call it “a broad abroad,” says Diane Lane from over the phone in her hotel room in Manhattan. At first glance, her secret is no doubt her finger-combed, sandy-colored hair that’s just long enough to throw up in a messy pony and just short enough for said ponytail to fall apart mere seconds later. In one scene, she’s even able to make a worn-in red baseball cap look chic. It could also be that her unlined face (formerly under contract for Neutrogena) appears radiant and dewy under the abundant natural light found only in the South of France. And of course, her body has always been banging, though at the same time, not off-puttingly so. In fact, Lane has managed to appear both alluring and approachable at the same time.

It’s true; this fairy tale for grown-ups, which was filmed in France in the summer of 2015, before the November terrorist attacks in Paris, before Marine Le Pen nearly won the French election, and “long before the t-word reared his head as a possible presidential candidate,” she says, feels like a “well-deserved 90-minute reprieve from life…. It’s amazing what can happen when you let yourself be delighted.”
