But not everyone is convinced Nitro Athletics is the way forward. As Jason Henderson, the editor of Athletics Weekly, puts it: “I was left feeling nonplussed. I’m all for experiments and fresh thinking. My problem with Nitro is that not much was earth-shatteringly innovative and some of it even made me cringe.”Many problems that sports face are far from fresh. Doping and corruption has festered and lingered for decades. But recently it has developed a fresh twist.
