SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. Tyrone Hill Jersey . -- Arizona Diamondbacks left-hander Patrick Corbin has a partially torn ligament in his left elbow that may require season-ending surgery. Corbin said Sunday said he has a partial tear of the ulnar collateral ligament and is getting a second opinion with noted surgeon Dr. James Andrews before deciding whether to try to rehab the injury or have surgery. "This all new to me," he said. "Ive never been hurt before, so Im just trying to get through it." Corbin had been designated the teams opening day starter against the Los Angeles Dodgers in Australia, but left Saturdays game against Cleveland in the seventh inning with forearm stiffness. He was 14-8 with a 3.41 ERA and made the All-Star team as a rookie last season. "Its a big blow to the individual that hes going through this," manager Kirk Gibson said. "As a team, weve all prepared for him to be a part of it. ... We didnt see anything coming." Gibson said left-hander Wade Miley will start Saturdays opener. Corbin said he had experienced minor tightness in the arm but the condition grew more serious with his final three pitches on Saturday "It felt like a small little shock in there. Nothing popped in there, just a different feel I wasnt used to, just really uncomfortable." Corbin, who barely made the 2013 opening day roster, had a sensational start to last season, opening 9-0 and making the All-Star team. He struggled down the stretch, though, pitching a longer season than he ever had experienced. Now, at age 24, Corbin faces the biggest challenge of his career. "Theres only two options," he said, "taking six weeks off, (then) rehabbing for six weeks, or having Tommy John." General manager Kevin Towers said there were three "in-house" candidates to join the rotation -- top prospect Archie Bradley, right-hander Randall Delgado and Josh Collmenter, who normally is the long reliever. Corbin returned this season as the No. 1 starter, anointed early by Gibson to go in the opener. He had made an off-season trip to Australia to promote the game. Gibson said there will be plenty of time on the long flights to and from Australia to discuss the situation. Corbin said he has talked to teammates Daniel Hudson and Matt Reynolds about how to deal with the injury. Both are recovering from the same surgery that Corbin may have. Hudson needed a second operation. Reynolds said he knows how Corbin is feeling. "Its probably one of the low points in your career," Reynolds said. "Its a major, serious injury and youre at the very beginning thinking its going to be a long time. Its a tough day. Theres a million things going through your mind." Miley, who wasnt even scheduled to make the Australia trip, was the obvious choice to replace Corbin, Gibson said. Miley was 10-10 with a 3.55 ERA last season after going 16-10 as a rookie in 2012. "Obviously you never want to see anything like that happen to any of your teammates," Miley said. "Its unfortunate. Hes a big part of this team. .. But I guess its something youve got to deal with, and you move on." Channing Frye Cavaliers Jersey .  He was set to become an unrestricted free agent on July 5th. But it got the job done, and thats the only thing that mattered to Mike Dunleavy and the Chicago Bulls. At this point, the Bulls will take whatever offence they can get. Dunleavy banked in a three-pointer with 5.8 seconds left and Joakim Noah came up with a block on the other end, leading the Bulls to a 91-90 comeback victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night. Dunleavy said he had to change the angle of his shot to avoid the reach of his defender, 6-foot-11 forward John Henson. "Hes so long so if I would have shot my normal shot, he might have got a piece of it," Dunleavy said. "So basically what Im saying is, I took a bad shot and it went in." Trailing by two in the final seconds, Chicago came up with a tie-up on the defensive end and won the jump ball, allowing Dunleavy to hit a high-arching 3 that banged off the glass, then in, for the lead. Noah then blocked O.J. Mayos shot to preserve the lead -- and a victory that appeared unlikely just seconds before. "You could see his rhythm coming offensively," Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said of Noah. "Defensively, hes been terrific from the start of the season but offensively, you can see his timing is back." Noah scored 21 points and grabbed 18 rebounds -- both season highs -- for the Bulls, who ended a three-game losing streak. Chicago scored fewer than 80 points in all three of those losses -- including one to Milwaukee in Chicago on Tuesday. Jimmy Butler scored 16 points in his return from injury for Chicago. "I felt all right," Butler said. "Rusty. Out of shape. Terrible. But Im glad my guys pulled this win out." Carlos Boozer scored 14 points and added 12 rebounds. Gary Neal scored 17 points and Henson added 15 for the Bucks, who appeared to have the game won when Khris Middleton hit a desperation shot with 29.8 seconds left. Instead, it was another disappointment. "It wasnt even really supposed to get to that point, but we made some mistakes, critical mistakes, and thats what happens," Henson said. And to make matters worse for the Bucks, a crowd filled with travelling Bulls fans made it sound like a home game at times for Chicago -- especially at the end, when Dunleavys shot set off a thunderous ovation. Timofey Mozgov Cavaliers Jersey. Thats not a new phenomenon when the Bulls visit Milwaukee -- but to Henson, it is somewhat annoying. "A little bit, man," Henson said. "But, hey, theyre an hour away. It was a Bulls crowd." Milwaukee went on a 12-4 run to take an 11-point lead with 7:37 remaining. The Bulls chipped away at the lead, but Henson passed to a wide-open Ekpe Udoh on the baseline and Udoh delivered an emphatic dunk for an 88-83 lead with 1:30 left. Mayo then fouled Dunleavy on a three-point attempt, and Dunleavy hit all three free throws to cut the lead to two. After a Milwaukee miss, Boozer made a game-tying jumper with 54.9 seconds left. Middleton then hit a desperation shot with the clock running out, giving Milwaukee a two-point lead. Butler was called for travelling on the other end and the game appeared to be all but over -- but it was only setting the stage for Dunleavys big moment. "He hit a tough shot," Bucks coach Larry Drew said. "It wasnt an easy shot. It was a contested shot. But Ill say it again: It should not have come down it (that). We were in position where we should have closed that game out." While Derrick Roses season-ending knee injury has garnered the most attention, it hasnt been the only critical injury for Chicago this season. Butler missed 11 games because of a toe injury and the Bulls are still without Luol Deng, who remains sidelined with a sore left Achilles. Chicago added some depth earlier in the day Friday, signing free agent guard D.J. Augustin. Augustin was scoreless in 11-plus minutes in his Bulls debut. NOTES: Drew said guard/forward Carlos Delfino will have surgery on his right foot in his native Argentina on Saturday. There is no timeline for his return. . Larry Sanders has been fitted with a protective glove and cleared to resume some basketball activities, but there is no timeline for his return from a thumb injury. ... Thibodeau said Deng is feeling better and could be available for Saturdays game.
