Former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick still Customized Youth Jersey hasn't found a new team after opting out of his contract with the 49ers in March, and there haven't been any reports lately of teams showing interest. But if no NFL teams come calling this year, maybe Kaepernick will be just fine continuing with the social work he's been performing outside of football.

In his recent MMQB column, Peter King says there are some within the 49ers organization who believe Kaepernick could prefer to do just that rather than go back to the gridiron.

"Kaepernick has bought a place inhttp://www.officialvikingssale.com/shop-by-players-scott-crichton-jersey-c-2_51.html downtown Manhattan and lives in the big city fairly anonymously," wrote King. "I spent a long draft weekend with the Niners in California, and there are those in the building who think Kaepernick might actually rather do social justice work full-time than play quarterback."

Kaepernick hasn't spoken about his football status in recent months and has surfaced occasionally in regards to his social work, such as his recent donation of custom-made suits outside a New York city parole office, a donation of $50,000 to Meals on Wheels, and his involvement in a famine relief effort for Somalia. He's currently among a group of unsigned veteran quarterbacks that includes Ryan Fitzpatrick, Blaine Gabbert, Robert Griffin III, and Shaun Hill. Kaepernick started 11 games for the 49ers last season but they have moved on from Kaepernick, electing instead to sign Brian Hoyer and Matt Barkley in free agency while adding C.J. Beathard in the draft. There's always ahttp://www.coltsshopauthentic.com/shop-by-players-30-djoun-smith-jersey-c-1_17.html chance something could open up for Kaepernick in the future, whether it's from a team looking for more quarterback depth or if opportunities arise due to injury, but for now, all seems quiet regarding his immediate chances of finding a team.
