Ben Roethlisberger reportedly wants to make<a href="http://www.authenticsteelersshop.com/shop-by-players-arthur-moats-jersey-c-2_32.html">Arthur Moats Authentic Jersey</a>  sure that the cupboard is a full as possible for the 2017 season.

According to NFL Network's Aditi Kinkhabwala‏, Big Ben is "lobbying hard" for the Steelers to bring in some more offensive weapons before the start of what will be his 14th NFL season. Kinkhabwala‏'s report is in stark contrast to what Big Ben said shortly following the AFC Championship Game when he was asked by reporters if the offense was missing something that prevented them from reaching Super Bowl LI.

"I like the guys we have," Roethlisberger said.

"I still think the guys played great (in the AFC Championship Game)," Roethlisberger contined. "Eli (Rogers) stepped up big time today, worked the middle of the field. Jesse (James) had an amazing game, really saw a lot of growth out<a href="http://www.authenticcowboysstore.com/shop-by-players-cedric-thornton-jersey-c-2_13.html">Cedric Thornton Womens Jersey</a>  of him. Cobi (Hamilton) making a play here in the end and making a lot of combat catches."

While Rogers and Hamilton enjoyed solid seasons in 2016, the AFC title game was not the best of games for either player. The same could be said for Sammie Coates, who -- albeit playing through mangled fingers -- dropped several passes that held Pittsburgh's offense back one game shy of the Super Bowl.

And while Pittsburgh's secondary receivers played well last season, it doesn't hide the fact that Le'Veon Bell -- for the second time in three seasons -- was the team's second leading receiver in terms of receptions, catching 75 passes in <a href="http://www.authenticraiderssale.com/shop-by-players-ted-hendricks-jersey-c-2_29.html">http://www.authenticraiderssale.com/shop-by-players-ted-hendricks-jersey-c-2_29.html</a> just 12 games. The Steelers surely want to lighten Bell's load after the team's 2016 MVP's workload caught up to him at the worst time during the AFC title game. Bell managed just six carries before leaving the game with a groin injury.

Pittsburgh granted Big Ben's wish the last time he reportedly lobbied for a new weapon to be added via the draft. In 2014, it was reported that Roethlisberger wanted the Steelers to draft a "tall" receiver. The Steelers obliged, drafting 6'4 Martavis Bryant in the fourth round. When eligible, Bryant has been a major assets to Big Ben and the Steelers offense, averaging 21.1 yards per catch during his rookie season while catching 17 touchdowns in 24 career games (including the postseason).

With Bryant's status for 2017 still up in<a href="http://www.authenticsaintsshop.com/shop-by-players-paul-kruger-jersey-c-1_37.html">http://www.authenticsaintsshop.com/shop-by-players-paul-kruger-jersey-c-1_37.html</a>  the air, it looks as if the Steelers will bring in another weapon (or two) to help make Pittsburgh's offense even stronger for the upcoming season, while appeasing their franchise quarterback in the process.
