Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette does not think that William Gay will be back for the 2017 season.
Fittipaldo said as much on Seth Roberts Authentic Jersey Monday when asked about the future of the team's 11-year veteran.
"I don't think so," Fittipaldo wrote when asked about Gay's future in Pittsburgh. "Played well for many years, but he fell off last season, especially in the AFC title game."

Gay, 32, signed a three-year, $7,500,000 contract last season that included a $1,900,000 signing bonus. In 2017, Gay is slated to earn a http://www.officialvikingssale.com/shop-by-players-everson-griffen-jersey-c-2_17.html base salary of $2,000,000 with a cap hit of $2,633,333 while his dead money value is $1,266,668.
The 5'10, 183-pound Gay started nine games last season, as Artie Burns eventually supplanted him in the starting lineup. One of five players remaining from Pittsburgh's last Super Bowl championship team, has 12 career interceptions. In 2015, he tied Rod Woodson by returning five consecutive interceptions for touchdowns.
