DENVER -- Joe Colborne couldnt have drawn it up any better -- three goals in his first game with the Colorado Avalanche. .Same with coach Jared Bednar -- a gut-check win in his debut on the bench. It was a memorable night for the new guys.Colborne had his first NHL hat trick, Colorado withstood a 6-on-4 opportunity over final 46 seconds and the Avalanche held off the Dallas Stars 6-5 on Saturday. That was a fun game. It was an exciting game. I really liked it, Bednar said. I enjoyed being on the bench.Trailing 2-0 early, Colborne came to the rescue as he scored three of Colorados next five goals to build a 5-2 lead. Carl Soderberg and Nathan MacKinnon also scored during the stretch, and Tyson Barrie added an insurance goal in the third period to kick off the Bednar Era in winning fashion.Bednar took over for Patrick Roy after the Hall of Fame goaltender-turned-coach surprisingly stepped away two months ago.I liked (Colborne) around the net. He was hungry around the net, Bednar said. He was getting sticks on pucks. He was fighting to the front of the net. Thats part of his M.O., part of what made him successful in years past.Tyler Seguin had two goals for the Stars, while Devin Shore, Jamie Benn and Brett Ritchie also scored.Dallas pulled starter Antti Niemi at 7:05 of the second period after allowing five goals. Kari Lehtonen slowed the Avalanches potent offensive attack so the Stars could work their way back into the game.Barrie scored a goal that bounced off the skate of Stephen Johns and past Lehtonen to make it 6-4. Soon after, Ritchie made it a one-goal game when he slid a shot past Semyon Varlamov.Blake Comeau was called for slashing with 1:56 remaining. The Stars pulled Lehtonen, but couldnt get anything past Varlamov, whos won 11 straight over Dallas. We didnt do enough to win the hockey game and didnt deserve to win, Benn said. When you play like that, it doesnt matter if you scored five and give up six, its unacceptable.Stars coach Lindy Ruff felt the same way. Were a better team than that, Ruff said. We have some defensemen trying to find their way. We gave up some tough opportunities in the second period. The Avalanche certainly had ample opportunities to gain some separation in the third period. A shot by Andreas Martinsen clanged off the post. Later, Fedor Tyutins slap shot appeared to go in and the horn sounded. But the puck actually hit the outside of the net. And later, Mikhail Grigorenko had a shot roll along the mouth of the goal before veering just wide.Colborne signed with the Avalanche as a free agent in July after a 19-goal, 25-assist season with Calgary. Hes a fan-favorite given that he played collegiately down the road at the University of Denver. We got a big win against a tough opponent, Colborne said. There were some nerves at the start.Bednar was a career minor leaguer -- as a defenseman and then as a coach -- before being hired by Colorado on Aug. 25. The 44-year-old led the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League to the Calder Cup last season. His style may be even more up-tempo than the version Roy implemented. Colorado outshot Dallas 33-28.I liked the way we played offensively. I thought we were skating and on our toes and creating chances, Bednar said. We have to get better defensively. The Avalanche havent garnered much early respect with a majority of prognosticators predicting theyll finish outside of the playoff picture.People can say what they want, said Matt Duchene, who will serve as an alternate captain this season. Go out there and prove them wrong -- thats our job.Game notes Shore scored his first NHL goal. ... Stars D Jamie Oleksiak (lower body injury) was a scratch for a second straight game. ... Avs F John Mitchell (hip) was a scratch, along with F Cody McLeod. ... The Avs improved to 20-10-7 all-time in season openers.UP NEXTStars: At Nashville on Tuesday.Avalanche: At Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh on Monday. . On June 12, just as the sun sets on the magnificent historical city of Sao Paulo the inventors, innovators and purveyors of “joga bonitowill” open their campaign. The opponent, Croatia and all its football might and will. As opposites do attract we are set for a corker of an opener. . Calgary scored on the first shift, and Michael Cammalleri scored twice as the Flames cruised to a 5-2 win over the Washington Capitals on Saturday. . Defencemen Drew Doughty, Shea Weber and forward Ryan Getzlaf also scored for the Canadians, who started their gold-medal defence 2-0. Goalie Roberto Luongo, getting the call in place of Game 1 starter Carey Price, was solid when needed in making 23 saves for the shutout. Another Rugby Championship in the books, the All Blacks have set their sights on the all-time Tier 1 Test winning streak of 18 matches -- assignment No.16 set down for Buenos Aires. With Argentina opting to take their encounter against the Wallabies to London next week, this Test against the All Blacks is the Pumas last on home soil for 2016.The Portenos will hopefully get themselves to Estadio Jose Amalfitani in their droves, given what the Pumas produced against the world champions in Hamilton a few weeks ago. For 50 minutes, Argentina put the All Blacks under all sorts of pressure; but the Pumas lacked the finishing expertise to really hurt New Zealand where it matters -- the scoreboard. They were then largely disappointing against a struggling Wallabies outfit a week later, failing to recover after shipping three early tries.Conversely, the All Blacks were back to their best against the Springboks after more than just a few uncomfortable moments in Hamilton a week prior. The six-tries-to-one hammering was the sixth occasion on which New Zealand have scored at least 35 points this season - and its unlikely to be the last.Team newsArgentina? The Pumas have made an interesting call at captain, with Martin Landajo returning to take over from Agustin Creevy after the half-back was recalled ahead of Tomas Cubelli. There are two further changes, one each to the forwards and backs, with Guido Petti returning at lock and Ramiro Moyano earning a start on the left wing.?Joaquin Tuculet, Santiago Cordero, Matias Moroni, Santiago Gonzalez Iglesias, Ramiro Moyano, Nicolas Sanchez, Martin Landajo (captain), Facundo Isa, Javier Ortego Desio, Pablo Matera, Matias Alemanno, Guido Petti, Ramiro Herrera, Agustin Creevy, Nahuel Telaz Chaparro. Replacements: Julian Montoya, Lucas Noguera, Enrique Pieretto, Juan Manuel Leguizamon, Leonardo Senatore, Tomas Cubelli, Jeronimo De la Fuente, Matias Orlando.New ZealandAll Blacks coach Steve Hansen has opted for a few fresh faces in Argentina, with only one forced by injury. That comes at No.6 where Liam Squire gets a chance for Jerome Kaino, the Blues skipper sitting out with a shoulder injury in a bid to be fit for next weeks trip to Durban. The other change up front comes at lock where Patrick Tuipoluto slots in for Sam Whitelock. In the backs, Aaron Smith has been given the week off with TJ Perenara starting at No.9 while Anton Lienert-Brown will wear the No.13 jersey in place of Malakai Fekitoa. There are a further five changes to the bench, the biggest of which could see Damian McKenzie win his first Test cap.Ben Smith, Israel Dagg, Anton Lienert-Brown, Ryan Crotty, Julian Savea, Beauden Barrett, TJ Perenara; Kieran Read, Ardie Savea, Liam Squire, Brodie Retallick, Patrick Tuipulotu, Owen Franks,, Dane Coles, Joe Moody. Replacements: Codie Taylor, Wyatt Crockett, Ofa Tuungafasi, Sam Whitelock, Elliot Dixon, Tawera Kerr-Barlow, Lima Sopoaga, Damian McKenzieKey matchup: Pablo Matera vs. Liam SquireMatera was one of the Pumas better performers in Perth a fortnight ago, the back-rower making an equal match-high 15 runs in a busy performance at nib Stadium. He was similarly impressive a week prior in Hamilton, adding plenty of punch to a loose-forward trio that also features rising star Facundo Isa. Back on home soil, Matera must replicate those twin efforts if the Pumas are to be any chance of a first ever win over the All Blacks.Squire, meanwhile, is enjoying quite the season. Having moved from the Chiefs to the Highlanders at the start of the year, Squire proved himself to be one of the buys of the Super Rugby season as the southerners came within one game of the final. A ball-running No.6 in a similar mould to Jerome Kaino, the man he replaces, Squire will be making his first start after two appearances off the bench.Key stats (Opta Stats)- New Zealand have won their last 21 games against the Pumas, their only blemish in 27 previous encounters being a 21-21 draw in November 1985.- New Zealand have scored a joint record 24 tries in this tournament (also 24 in 2013), one more and they will hold the standalone record for most tries in a Rugby Championship/Tri Nations campaign.- Just two players have made over 250 metres with ball in hand in The Rugby Championship this year: Ben Smith (257) and Facundo Isa (251).WeatherIts nothing but sunshine for Buenos Aires on Saturday with the mercury set to reach a top of 19 degrees. The hard, fast track should make for some exciting running rugby.UBET verdict: Argentina $8.50, New Zealand $1.07.New Zealand will be popular through multis this weekend, but their prohibitive $1.07 price will rule out most rank and file rugby punters. A line bet will be the trick and, judging by the early betting indicators, the world champions will be heavily tried to cover the 18.5 handicap.VerdictAll Blacks coach Steve Hansen has done well to build the world champions players base, and he gets the chance to see just where some of those future stars are at this weekend. Crucially, Hansen has maintained the key cogs of this years scintillating form in Dane Coles, Brodie Retallick, skipper Kieran Read, and backs Beauden Barrett and Ben Smith, which should see the new faces slot in seamlessly. The Pumas will be better at home but their failure to turn long periods of possession and territory into points has become more than just a passing concern. All Blacks by 17. Cheap NFL Jerseys ' ' '

Since Big 12 went to 10 teams with round-robin schedules in 2011, no team has gone through the league without a loss. TSNs Jack Armstrong offers his thoughts on Doc Rivers, the Raptors making the playoffs, Andre Iguodala, Canadians in the NBA Draft and Raptors head coach Dwane Casey. Antonio Valencia Jersey . 1. DOC RIVERS (Clippers): Great move for the Clips. Gives them a terrific shot at retaining Chris Paul and they get a top-notch coach who will handle the pressure of a big market like L.A. quite easily. The Celtics get a first round pick in 2015, and more importantly begin the process of dismantling their team to acquire assets for a rebuild/restructure. It will be interesting to see how things are handled right now with Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce & Rajon Rondo as well as the hiring of a new coach. GM Danny Ainge is a bold/progressive thinker and will try to be active if/when possible. Right move for both teams. 2. TORONTO RAPTORS - PLAYOFFS?: Think about it for a second. Miami, Indiana, Chicago, Brooklyn and New York - Put those five in the Top 5 in whatever order youd like for next season. After that, its a crap shoot for the bottom three spots of the Eastern Conference playoffs. Milwaukee, Atlanta and Boston (the other three playoff teams from this past season) are all going to have a different and possibly weaker look next season. The six, seven and eight spots are up for grabs. Im as curious as all of you what the Raps decide to do in the coming months with their team building plan. Do they try to develop a winning/playoff environment during the 2013-14 season or go the developmental route and try to acquire assets for down the line? Your guess is as good as mine. This Thursday nights NBA Draft will be our first look at what the direction will be. 3. ANDRE IGUODALA (Nuggets): Opting out of his contract and will be a free agent. The trade to Denver was a great opportunity to showcase his game in an up tempo style that suited his game. Hes a versatile athlete who plays both ways well and hard for you. Hes got lots of fans round the league and hes proven to be a valuable member of both the 76ers and the Nuggets and has the Olympics experience under his belt. Hes polished and hell be a target for teams with cap space if he keeps his salary/term demands at a fair/reasonable level. 4. CANADIANS IN THE NBA DRAFT (Anthony Bennett-UNLV / Kelly Olynyk-Gonzaga / Myck Kabongo-Texas): If you get a chance, check out Mondays USA Today. Theres a neat article on the growth of basketball in Canada. Well likely see three more Canadians drafted on Thursday night. Bennett and Olynyk are first rounders and Kabongo is all over the board in the 2nd round, depending on who you talk with. Im excited to see how it unfolds and more importantly for the future of Canadian hoops. The best is yet to come! 5. DWANE CASEY (Toronto Raptors): Announced last week that hell be back as the head coach. Beyond staff decisions, player development and putting together the roster with GM Masai Ujiri, a huge component of improving the team in 2013-14 will be how they perform/execute in the fourth quarter of games. Situational basketball performance is the make/break aspect of teams and coaches. Im sure Casey and his new staff will take significant time between now and the start of evaluating each and every fourth quarter this past season where the Raptors let a lead slip away that resulted in a loss. Way too many times this took place and it will be the defining judgment piece for this upcoming season. How you perform under the pressure of the fourth quarter spotlight in the NBA is usually the make/break aspect of a team, season and coaching staff. Control to the best of your ability what you can control and move those chess pieces in an appropriate/timely manner and the narrative of a season becomes more fun to watch. Guillermo Varela Jersey . Collaros, 25, was solid last season, posting a 5-2 record as the starter while incumbent Ricky Ray was injured. Collaros also started Torontos 23-20 regular-season finale loss to Montreal — Ray didnt dress because the Argos had already clinched first in the East Division — but was one of three quarterbacks to play that day. Wayne Rooney Manchester United Jersey . Durant finished with 24 points and 13 rebounds, Jackson matched his career high with 23 points on 10-of-14 shooting and Lamb scored 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting, lifting the Thunder to a 94-88 win over San Antonio and snapping the Spurs 11-game winning streak. . -- Catcher Brett Hayes has agreed to a $630,000, one-year contract with the Kansas City Royals, avoiding salary arbitration.Anthony Mullally will make his competitive debut for Leeds in Sundays World Club Challenge against North Queensland Cowboys, live on Sky Sports 1 HD. The 24-year-old Ireland prop, who has joined the Super League champions on a three-year deal, made a brief appearance against the touring New Zealanders at Headingley last October, when he sustained an ankle injury. The call-up of Mullally is one of three enforced changes to the Rhinos side that lost 56-12 at Widnes on Sunday as coach Brian McDermott confirmed the absence of Carl Ablett, Tom Briscoe and Ashton Golding with injuries that are expected to keep them out for six to eight weeks. Winger Ash Handley, who deputised for Briscoe for four months last season when the England international was sidelined with shoulder trouble, and second rower Josh Walters, who came off the bench to score the winning try in Octobers Grand Final, are the other additions.McDermott said forward Jamie Jones-Buchanan and new hooker Beau Falloon are close to recovering from injury but Sundays game will come too soon for them. Anthony Mullally will make his Rhinos debut against the Cowboys The Rhinos boss also confirmed that, in the absence of new captain Danny McGuire, his starting half-backs will be 19-year-old Jordan Lilley, who made only his second Super League start on Sunday, and 21-year-old Liam Sutcliffe. They will be up against experienced duo Michael Morgan and Johnathan Thurston, who on Thursday night was presented with his third Golden Boot as the best player in the game. Leeds suffered a 56-12 loss at Widnes last Sunday, their second successive Super League defeat Thurston will lead a full-strength Cowboys team, with coach Paul Green confirming the line-up that gained a 17-16 golden-point win over Brisbane Broncos in the NRL Grand Final in October. Johnathan Thurston talks to Brian Carney about his tough road to the NRL Green says his team will not be underestimating the Super League champions despite the departure of Kevin Sinfield, Jamie Peacock and Kylie Leuluai at the end of last season and their latest injury problems. Morgan Schneiderlin Jersey. .Leeds have been a proud club and very strong team for a number of seasons so obviously they have a winning mentality, said Green. Brian Carneys Cowboys to watch Matt Scott: An old school prop, one of the best in the world.Lachlan Coote: Missed the entire 2014 season with an ACL injury but was back to his best last year.Jason Taumalolo: The 22-year-old was named in Dally M team of the season for 2015 and there is more to come from the powerful Kiwi. From what I can see, theyve certainly got a very good culture and, when you come up against teams like that, theres an expectation that whoever wears the jersey does the job so with that in mind were expecting a tough game.Well also be playing in conditions that were certainly not used to - its about 40 degrees back home. Thurstons story Brian Carney pays tribute to one of the greatest players of all time McDermott said his young half-backs were excited as can be but admits the teams preparation for their seventh World Club Challenge has been far from ideal.Because of the little bit of adversity weve got at the moment, it is a challenge, said McDermott. Weve got to get over a very good team. World Club Series Preview - Barrie v Terry Leeds Rhinos squad: Rob Burrow (c), Adam Cuthbertson, Brett Delaney, Brett Ferres, Keith Galloway, Mitch Garbutt, Ryan Hall, Ash Handley, Zak Hardaker, Jimmy Keinhorst, Jordan Lilley, Joel Moon, Anthony Mullally, Brad Singleton, Liam Sutcliffe, Josh Walters, Kallum Watkins.North Queensland: 1 Lachlan Coote, 2 Kyle Feldt, 3 Justin ONeill, 4 Kane Linnett, 5 Antonio Winterstein, 6 Michael Morgan, 7 Johnathan Thurston (co-capt); 8 Matt Scott (co-capt), 9 Jake Granville, 10 James Tamou, 11 Gavin Cooper, 12 Ethan Lowe, 13 Jason Taumalolo.Interchange: 14 Rory Kostjasyn, 15 John Asiata, 16 Scott Bolton, 17 Ben Hannant. SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Jim Harbaugh pirouetted in frustration following a personal foul on Dan Skuta. He got hit with his own unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for arguing following a catch by Vernon Davis that went to review before being ruled a touchdown. And that was just last Sunday. Harbaugh has been at his emotional best -- or, to some, worst -- with his cartoon-like faces and quirky sideline antics in leading San Francisco back to the NFC championship game for the third time in as many years since taking over as 49ers head coach in January 2011. On Davis TD during Sundays 23-10 win at Carolina, Harbaugh ran well onto the field during the play. "I think Harbaugh gets away with murder myself," former Seahawks coach and ex-49ers assistant Mike Holmgren said. "If I ever did that it would be a penalty." Harbaugh should be as charged up as ever come Sunday, when he faces off once more against the rival Seattle Seahawks in an NFC championship game featuring that familiar coaching sideshow with Pete Carroll. This time, theres a Super Bowl berth on the line. But if you ask Harbaugh, "Whats your deal?" is so five years ago. Enough already, he insists, keep it about the players. "That might have been something four or five years ago," Harbaugh said. "But, I havent seen it as of late. And, it would be as irrelevant now as it would have been then when people made a bigger deal out of it. So, irrelevant, irrelevant." Sorry, not this week. Theres no avoiding such chatter. Harbaugh has to expect that infamous phrase to come up often. It dates back to their college days coaching in the Pac-10 Conference. In 2009, Harbaugh and No. 25 Stanford ran up the score on 11th-ranked USC in a surprising 55-21 rout, even attempting a 2-point conversion with the game way out of reach -- prompting Carrolls infamous "Whats your deal?" when they met afterward at midfield. Whatever their past or perceived differences, Harbaugh knows what to expect every time a Carroll-coached team takes the field. The Seahawks ended San Franciscos two-year reign as NFC West champion. "Its hard to get to this position," Harbaugh said. "Talking about a year of preparation and planning and off-season and training camp and games. And they did it better than anybody did it this entire season. So, a great task, great challenge ahead of us." The 49ers have already accomplished plenty this post-season by winning in the bitter cold of Green Bay and at Carolina. Harbaugh is the first coach in the Super Bowl era to reach the NFC championship in each of his first three years. Place kicker Phil Dawson wanted to be part of the winning vibe after 14 mostly disappointing years with Cleveland. Nose tackle Glenn Dorsey left Kansas City to join a team with Harbaugh at the helm. Even if Dorseys first impressions of the coach left him shaking his head. "I noticed what everybody else noticed: a coach going crazy on the sideline having fun," Dorsey recalled. "Always pumped up and always getting his team hyped. He works hard, even now being on the inside seeing him every day and how he goes about doing his job, the enthusiasm that he has and the motivational stuff that he has, the knowledge that he has. Hes a great coach." Dawson appreciates how Harbaugh takes chances in the kicking game based on his trust in the veteran -- and it certainly didnt hurt that Dawson converted a franchise-record 27 straight field goals until the streak ended in the regular-season finale at Arizona. The 50-year-old Harbaugh, a 15-year NFL quarterback himself, regularly moves around the team plane to visit with players about football and life. He shares meals with rookies and veterans alike on occasion in the team cafeteria. "Hes the kind of coach you want to win for," Dawson said. "Theres a special satisfaction with having a relationship with the head coach. Being a place kicker, on a lot of teams the head coach never even speaks to the kicker. Hes around, he gets it, hes been there. Hes sat in those seats. I think its probably one of the biggest reasons hes successful is his ability to communicate with the guys and relate to them on their level and be able to instil whatever it is hes trying to instil in a way that guys will receive it." LAHAINA, Hawaii -- The Lahaina Civic Center sits on a hill above Honoapiilani Highway in western Maui, barely visible among the tropical trees and police station. The outside of the building is nondescript even up close, looking more like a school auditorium than a basketball arena. Same thing on the inside, with its upstairs, YMCA-style lockers and cage-like windows overlooking the court.Yet every November, the Lahaina Civic Center transforms into something else: one of college basketballs most raucous venues. Its like a high school gym being there, Tennessee coach Rick Barnes said Sunday, the eve of the Maui Invitational. The noise is loud, people are close to you. I think its neat. This time of year you want to play in front of an excited crowd, an arena where everything is close. Theres just so much you can gain from an experience like this and in a building like that. Theres really nothing like it.The Maui Invitational has become the top in-season tournament on the college basketball schedule, annually luring some of the best teams from across the country to the second-largest island in the Hawaiian chain. This years eight-team field has combined for 14 national championships and 40 Final Fours, and three teams are ranked in the top 10 of The Associated Press poll : No. 4 Oregon, No. 5 North Carolina and No. 9 Wisconsin. The three-day tournament, which starts Monday, also includes Tennessee, Oklahoma State, UConn, Georgetown and host Chaminade. At the center of this basketball-topia is the 2,400-seat Lahaina Civic Center.Built in 1972, the building is used as a public civic center 50 weeks out of the year, hosting high school basketball leagues, volleyball games, karate practices and community events. The two weeks of the Maui Invitational brings some changes to the civic center -- signs and banners, TV lights, cushioned chairs in front of the bleachers -- but its still nowhere near matching the massive, modern arenas found across the rest of college basketball. It didnt even have air conditioning until the 2005 tournament -- after North Carolina coach Roy Williams complained about condensation on the floor. Its hard to adapt an old building with such character into a 2016 basketball arena that everyones used to, said Mark Starsiak, director of events for KemperLesnik, which operates the Maui Invitational.I tell teams every year: `Its the most unique experience youll have walking from the locker room all season. If you have any questions, Ill try to answer them.Calling the Lahaina Civic Center quirky is like saying basketball players are tall. The court, outside of the massive Maui Invitational logo at midcourt, is like a high school hardwood, with volleyball court and vertical basketball lines crisscrossing the court. The seats are like something out of Hoosiers, old bleachers that are practically on top of the court and only go up a dozen-or-so rows. The locker rooms are unlike anything in college basketball. Those are on the second floor, up a narrow stairwell that leads to a common area with taekwondo and wrestling lines on the floor, with nothing but a black curtain separating the teams. The common room also has cage-like windows that overlook the floor, though the view has been obscured a bit with the massive Hawaiian-themed banner at the west side of the arena. The lockers are the old, metal bring-your-own variety, with four concrete chairs, a single whiteboard and showers that dont always work.Because of the small confines, teams waiting for the next game have to set up in the common area and often can be seen at the bottom of the stairwells as the previous game is about to end.Leave your strategy for the hotel because your opponent is right through there, Starsiak said, pointing at the black curtain. Anything you say can and will be used against you on the court. With all the pampering teams and players usually get, it might seem like the civic centers inconveniences would be a drawback.Instead, the quirkiness and quaintness adds to the charm of the building and the tournament, often making the players feel like theyre back in high school. And because of the venues size, the noise and atmosphere inside the Lahaina Civic Center is like nothing else in college basketball. The environments great, Georgetown coach John Thompson III said. The fans are right on top of you, you feel the emotion of the fans the whole time. Much like this entire tournament, the game is a unique experience.---For more AP college basketball: Asics Gel Kayano 21 Dames .In my heart and mind Im competing for India, luge competitor Shiva Keshavan told The Associated Press in an email interview. SAN FRANCISCO -- The Giants want to make sure Madison Bumgarner never goes elsewhere.San Francisco general manager Bobby Evans spoke with Bumgarner and reached out to the ace left-handers representatives to let them all know the Giants are ready to begin discussions on a new contract whenever they are.Bumgarner signed a $35.56 million, six-year deal through 2017 that includes $12 million club options for the 2018 and 2019 seasons. We want to make sure Madison is here for the long haul, Evans said Thursday. Well certainly be available when theyre ready to talk. We continue to exchange volleys. Were ready when theyre ready. Ive even talked to Madison. Were very clear.MadBum pitched a four-hitter in a 3-0 road win against the Mets in the wild-card game last week to continue his October dominance, then had a no-decision in Monday nights 6-5, 13-inning Game 3 victory against the Cubs. Chicago eliminated the Giants the next night. The 27-year-old left-hander 15-9 with a 2.74 ERA this season. Two years ago, his spectacular postseason instantly put him right up with the best ever in October. He tossed 270 innings, including 21 with two wins and a save in a World Series that went to Game 7 against the Royals. His value to the Giants, its sort of incalculable, CEO Larry Baer said, noting hes already fielding questions about when the pitcher will get a statue. Hes been a tremendous asset for us. Hes done historic things. The Giants like to keep their homegrown players around well into the future. In April, first baseman Brandon Belt received a $79 million, six-year contract that takes him through the 2021 season. Shortstop Brandon Crawford signed a $75 million, six-year contract last November through the 2021 season.I have spoken with Madisons agent about what the timing would be, Evans said. Again, this is a conversation Ive had with each of his representatives that hes had this year. Timing on that I cant speak to.While the sting of falling short was still felt by the brass two days later -- the Giants would have played a Game 5 on Thursday back at Wrigley Field -- a team that clinched the second wild card on the seasons final day was credited for sticking it out through a tough second half. The group still hates to lose as much as they like to win, and thats a powerful statement, said Brian Sabean, executive vice president of baseball operations.ddddddddddddManager Bruce Bochy insists his health is good and he is ready to get exploring out in the mountains this offseason and prepare to win another championship. He spent a night in a Miami hospital in August but insists he is strong and energized to improve at age 61.Nobody is hurting more than this team and myself that were not playing tonight with a chance to move on, Bochy said. Im hungry to get back to the World Series, win another one. I couldnt feel better to be honest.San Francisco is strongly considering promoting from within the organization to fill spots in left field -- with Jarrett Parker or Mac Williamson -- while Eduardo Nunez and Conor Gillaspie are likely to play third. Nunez, whose strained right hamstring limited him down the stretch and in the playoffs, is someone Evans likes on an everyday basis with his fire offensively and athletically and I think he did a really nice job defensively. Its important to value our internal options, Evans said, noting both third basemen are both very strong options for us at third. Thats most likely the direction well go.Finding a closer will be a top priority, with Evans saying he would explore every opportunity to make sure that no ninth inning goes unstaffed.Well find ways to improve our bullpen. We have a good core there for years to come, he said. An overhaul would be a tremendous overstatement.Game notes Buster Posey is likely to play as regularly behind the plate despite down power numbers this season, 14 homers and 80 RBI. ... Third base coach Roberto Kelly and first base coach Bill Hayes will not return to those duties. Evans said it hasnt been determined whether they will remain part of the organization in reassigned roles. ... Evans said he has exchanged messages with one NL West club with a managerial opening -- either Arizona or Colorado -- regarding bench coach Ron Wotus. ... San Francisco plans to offer a contract to reliever George Kontos. Cheap Jerseys ' ' '

ORCHARD PARK, N. .Y. -- One glance at the Buffalo Bills 4-4 record was all safety Corey Graham needed in assessing the state of his inconsistent team.Right now, were exactly where we are: A mediocre team, Graham said bluntly. As injuries pile up, a sense of demoralization is beginning to set in after Tom Brady and the New England Patriots (7-1) exposed many of the Bills weaknesses in a 41-25 rout on Sunday.Buffalos defense was unable to keep Brady in check in allowing the quarterback to convert nine of 13 third-down chances, throw four touchdowns and engineer five consecutive scoring drives spanning halftime.Brady improved to 26-3 against Buffalo to match an NFL record of most wins by a quarterback against one team. Brett Favre was 26-9 against Detroit. And the Bills injury-depleted offense was in no position to keep up. Playing minus top threat, running back LeSean McCoy (left hamstring), Buffalo punted three times in the first half and was unable to convert two fourth-down chances in the second half. The Bills were also down three of their top four receivers, including Sammy Watkins (left foot), and then lost backup Brandon Tate to a possible concussion Sunday. This resembled nothing of the boastful team that was flying high during a four-game winning streak, which included a 16-0 victory at New England on Oct. 2 in a game Brady sat out while serving his four-game Deflategate suspension. The Bills have now lost two in a row and dropped to 1-4 against AFC teams.Coach Rex Ryan isnt giving up, but concedes Buffalos chances of catching the Patriots are all but over.I think its unrealistic to think youre going to win your division when you just got beat by -- how many games are they up by? Three? Ryan said. I dont see that changing. But I never said it was going to ruin our season. The margin for error is getting thinner for a team attempting to snap a 16-season playoff drought -- the NFLs longest active streak. We just need to calm down, linebacker Zach Brown said, before looking ahead to a Nov. 7 prime-time showdown at Seattle. Weve got to play to win. We all signed up to win this thing.A number of things that stood out Sunday:RED FLAGRyan acknowledged he threw a challenge flag out of frustration in the final minute when Jonathan Williams was stopped for no gain on first-and-goal from the 1.That was on me. Im a little ticked off because I was showing them like, `Guys, just look at the replay, Ryan said. The Bills would have been penalized for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty, but were instead allowed to use one of their two remaining timeouts. Williams scored on the next play.GRONK MILESTONEPatriots tight end Rob Gronkowski set two franchise scoring records with his 53-yard touchdown catch, which put New England ahead 21-10 in the second quarter. The Buffalo native scored his 69th touchdown and 68th receiving, breaking the previous career record held by Stanley Morgan.Gronkowskis father, Gordie, enjoyed the moment in a stadium suite with about 80 family members and friends. We were all on our barstools and had a big celebration for him, Gordie Gronkowski told The Associated Press, noting he anticipated his son would score. When he comes here, he gets all wired up and hyped up and everything to play in front of his fans, he said. It was a fantastic moment for us.ON THE RUNBills backup RB Mike Gillislee had 12 carries for 85 yards and scored on 3-yard run filling in for McCoy. Ryan said hes not sure about McCoys playing status for next week. Third-string running back Reggie Bush didnt finish the game because of a groin injury.HOGAN HOMECOMINGPatriots receiver Chris Hogan scored on a 53-yard touchdown catch in beating Bills top cornerback Stephon Gilmore up the left sideline.Busted coverage, said Gilmore, who was spotted yelling at safety Jonathan Meeks following the play.Hogan spent the previous four seasons in Buffalo before signing an offer sheet with New England which the Bills declined to match last spring.SACK STREAK SNAPPEDBills linebacker Lorenzo Alexanders seven-game sack streak was snapped when he left the game in the second quarter with a hamstring injury. Alexander was hurt during a punt return. The 10-year journeyman entered with an NFL-leading nine sacks.---AP NFL website: and . Third-seeded Murray had the easiest path to victory on New Years Eve, barely breaking a sweat during his 6-0, 6-0 win over 2,129th-ranked Qatari wildcard recipient Mousa Shanan Zayed. . "Four now," Carl Gunnarsson told the Leaf Report proudly following a 5-2 victory over New York on Tuesday night, the clubs fifth straight at home. Eighteen teams have assembled in Seattle, Washington, to compete for the greatest prize pool in esports history. The sixth annual International will host the best of the best in Dota 2, and over the course of two weeks, the pool will be whittled down until only one team is left standing to claim the $8 million prize. Its no secret that this years International is anyones game, more so than almost any year before it. The worldwide scene has been strengthened by the addition of the majors, and ranking these teams was a task. Heres our breakdown of where the teams stand on the eve of TI6.1. OGThere is little doubt that OG is at the height of its game. Coming off the teams second major win of the year at Manila, this squad has stuck it out through thick and thin, and has come out a year later as the favorite for the top spot. Both Johan n0tail Sundstein and Amer Miracle- Barqawi have excelled in core positions, but every player on this team is a threat, from supports to captain and cores.2. NewbeeThis top Chinese squad rarely makes an appearance outside of its homeland, usually content to keep its secrets close domestically. This is one of the few squads who can reliably take games off every other team in Seattle. With a veteran like Wong Chuan Hock Chuan on the roster, and Hu Kaka Luangzhi in the captains seat, Newbee will be looking to be the first team to take home the Aegis twice. With the fast, dominant Dota 2 its been playing and the results it puts up at every international event, it would be no surprise to see the team in the grand finals.3. Team LiquidLiquid seems to be the Dota equivalent of always a bridesmaid, never a bride. The European pros have looked strong in every showing, always coming within inches of the title just to be knocked out in the grand finals. Still, this many second-place finishes could mean the team comes into Seattle with a chip on its shoulder. Jesse JerAx Vainikka has become one of the best four-roles in the game, captain and drafter Kuro KuroKy Salehi Takhasomi can work wonders in the pick/bans, and core Lasse MATUMBAMAN Urpalainens wide pool and brutally effective Lycan forces teams to ban or deal with the character. Team Liquid may have been spurned before, but now its primed and ready.4. Wings GamingWings has become the team to watch, and gradually, the team to beat. A lackluster showing at Manila might have shaken the faithful a little, but a promising run through the Chinese qualifiers and a win at The Summit 5 reassured the worried. On the back of incredible players like Chu Shadow Zeyu and the massive hero pools of every player on the team, Wings are the most likely to shake up the meta and knock off complacent contenders.5. MVP.PhoenixMVP.Phoenix will always perform at LANs. The South Korean squad has been holding onto the title of underdog throughout the year, putting up solid finishes at tournament after tournament. A year ago, the story was MVPs miraculous run through TI5. This year, with dual cores Pyo MP No-a and Kim QO Seon-yeob, and an aggressive, consistent playstyle and the rankings this team has put up? MVP could be looking much higher than the middle of the pack.6. LGD GamingAnother Chinese squad that hasnt been as prevalent on the international stage, LGD has shown it can hang with the best with a fourth place finish in Manila. Theres no doubt that Zhang xiao8 Ning, captain of LGD, has the experience and draft know-how to lead the team into a solid placing, and the team will need to put up more solid performances if it wants to ascend beyond the upper-middle of the pool. Right now, this lineup has the talent and intelligence, but needs an extra push to make the breakout performance it needs.7. Natus VincereComing off its first LAN win of the year at the StarLadder grand finals, NaVi is riding high. The fresh, aggressive lineup has come into its own over the course of the year, centered around longtime NaVi mid laner Danil Dendi Ishutin. With former players and new faces on the team, this might actually be the year for fans to exclaim NaVi is back. Natus Vincere is still a dark horse, but perhaps the most promising bet you could make for an upset run for the top.8. Team SecretThe reformed Team Secret, with Kanishka BuLba Sosale in the offlane, put on quite a performance at the recent StarLadder finals. That, combined with a strong run through the EU qualifiers, is enough to at least quiet naysayers who might point to the teams rough outing in Manila. Artour Arteezy Babaev has looked particularly impresssive, using his mid lane Mirana to great effect, but once again, eyes are on Jacky EternaLEnVy Mao to match tempo with Babaev. . Evil GeniusesClinton Fear Loomis slid back into the carry role with ease, and Saahil UNiVeRsE Arora has fit back in quite naturally with his former teammates. The biggest question remains, though, if this team can get back into TI-shape. A good showing at StarLadder helped ease worries, but the boys in blue are still working uphill against negative expectations. EG wont enter TI with as impressive a resume as last years, but dont count them out either.10. Vici Gaming RebornA few weeks ago, VGR could have been much higher on the list, but a variety of factors have made its standing headed into TI6 a little more shaky. Chief among these issues are the visa problems that have been plaguing Vicis offlaner, Zhou Yang Haiyang. A crucial cog in Reborns machine, Yangs appearance in Seattle is still up in the air. Vici Gaming Reborn has put up impressive performances against the likes of Wings and NaVi, but inconsistency and outside issues could lead to a rough tournament.11. FnaticThe crowd-favorites of SEA are difficult to gauge going into any tournament. The teams results vary, from a solid third place at StarLadder to a seventh/eighth at ESL One Frankfurt, and then back to beating teams like MVP.Phoenix. Look to Yeik MidOne Zheng Nai, who has been a huge playmaker for Fnatic in recent series, to make the big wins happen and pull Fnatic ahead of the pack.12. Digital ChaosIts a testament to the quality of the overall Dota 2 scene that Digital Chaos sits at this spot on our rankings. An American team that has more than a few victories under its belt, DC sports impressive talent and some big potential for upsets. The greatest stumbling block for this team will be in consistency. Digital Chaos can be a real competitor at The International, but finding its stride will be paramount to making it far in the main event.13. TnC GamingThis qualifier squad had an impressive run through the SEA region, taking the top spot over Fnatic to advance straight to The International. TnC is impressive, but also untested. This squad has little experience outside of the SEA region, and will have the most tape to study and prep for.14. AllianceDespite being the same squad that took TI3, this reunited Alliance team cant seem to find good footing. Each majors showing for Alliance has been rough, and despite all the right players being in the right place, a mixture of outplays and coordination issues have frequently led to disappointing results. If the crew can pull it together, a solid run at TI6 could be possible -- but as it stands now, thats a tall order.15. Escape GamingThe most promising of the four wild-card teams, Escape, has some heavy-hitting talent on its side that could put it over for securing a spot at the main event. Adrian Era Kryeziu and the rest are no strangers to competing with the best, and Escape could make a dent in the bracket if it makes it out of the wild-card competition.16. EHOMELike most other Chinese teams, EHOME has little stats to back it up outside of its own region. Despite a fourth place finish at the Frankfurt Major, EHOME fell much lower in the major in Shanghai and failed to qualify for Manila. These five players have competed and played with some of the best in China. In group stage of The International? It gets harder to see EHOME making a solid push into the bracket.17. ComplexityThe American hope in the wild card qualifiers has a rough road ahead. After a tough showing in Manila and a 1-2 exit in ESL One Frankfurt, Complexity has struggled to find the push that put it in fourth at Epicenter. The team recently recruited the help of Alan Nahaz Bester to coach, and cores Rasmus Chessie Blomdin and Linus Limmp Blomdin have had some impressive showings recently. Its a tough road, but Complexity has the tools to make it if everything aligns perfectly.18. ExecrationThe last team on our list has the toughest road ahead, with little international experience and little to show in the way of quality wins. But bigger runs have been built on less at The International, where less tape on a team could mean a significant advantage going in. Theres little reason to suspect it might happen, but its always a joy to be proven wrong and see a team make a name for itself on the big stage in Seattle. Cheap NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys China ' ' '

No title, but plenty of other matters will be on the line when No. Travis Ishikawa Giants Jersey . 22 Texas A&M hosts No. 25 LSU to top off Thanksgiving night -- including the status of the two coaches.Kickoff at Kyle Field in College Station is 7:30 p.m. ET Thursday with ESPN handling the telecast. The visiting Tigers (6-4, 4-3 SEC) will be playing to enhance the chances of interim coach Ed Orgeron earning permanent status with the program. LSUs regular season was cut short by a game because of the cancellation of a non-conference contest with South Alabama to accommodate a rescheduled meeting with Florida.Though always considered a long-shot to be named full-time, Orgerons chances began to improve when the team responded well after he took over for Les Miles, who was fired after a 2-2 start. The Tigers rolled to three easy victories, were in a scoreless tie with No. 1 Alabama after three quarters and lost just 10-0, then bounced back a week later to rout Arkansas 38-10.But the mistake-laden 16-10 loss to a Florida team that was missing six injured starters derailed whatever momentum Orgeron had gained in his quest to keep the job.Its been fantastic, said Orgeron, a native of Larose, La., who is 4-2 in his interim stint. What a ride. The head coach at LSU being from Louisiana, the way the people have reacted, the way the players reacted. Weve played very well in most games. Its been fun. Its been fun around to be the staff and fun to see our players grow. Its just been an exciting challenge. Ive grown as a head coach like I try to grow every day.A decision on the new coach likely will come in a matter of days after this game.A&M coach Kevin Sumlins job may not be in immediate jeopardy, but a loss to the Tigers could start up the grumbling. The Aggies (8-3, 4-3 SEC) are seeking a ninth win that would give them a shot at 10 victories with a bowl win. They havent been in double digits in wins since going 11-2 in Sumlins first season in 2012, which also is the last year they finished over .500 in SEC play.If the Aggies lose, however, it would be a sixth straight loss to the Tigers, who have won all four meetings since the Aggies joined the SEC, and continue what has been a November slump for Sumlins teams. The Aggies are 11-8 for the month under Sumlin overall but only 7-8 over the last four seasons.Although the Aggies have consistently stumbled on the brink of competing for the SEC West title, Sumlins argument is that they have at least made themselves relevant in the discussion.Texas A&M went 26-25 in its last four seasons in the Big 12. Since joining the SEC, the Aggies are 44-19 under Sumlin. For us to be where we want to be, we do need to take that next step and play for championships and be involved in that conversation consistently, Sumlin said. Where we are right now is a team that has made some strides since coming into this league. Both LSU and A&M have injury issues.Linebacker Kendall Beckwith, the Tigers leading tackler with 91 stops, is out with a knee injury, and running back Leonard Fournette is still hobbled by an ankle problem.Derrius Guice, who is the teams leading rusher with 964 yard but had a couple of key mistakes late against Florida -- fumbling inside the Gators 10-yard line in the second quarter and running the wrong way on the final play of the game at Floridas 1-yard line, would replace Fournette. Donnie Alexander (36 tackles and an interception) likely will start for Beckwith. For the Aggies. junior Jake Hubenak, who took over for the injured Trevor Knight, injured his shoulder in the loss to Ole Miss but quarterbacked the win over Texas-San Antonio.Hes day-to-day working hard every day to get his shoulder back in its usual shape, offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone said. I was very impressed with how he gritted it out on Saturday. Matt Duffy Giants Jersey . The incident occurred at 19:56 of the second period of the Kings 4-2 road win over Edmonton on Sunday. Nolan punched Oilers forward Jesse Joensuu in the jaw in front of the Kings goal during a scrum. Hunter Pence Giants Jersey . Pierce was ejected in the third quarter of Indianas 103-86 win Monday. George Hill stole a bad pass and was going in for a layup, and Pierce hustled back and appeared to be trying to wrap him up. . -- Derrick Rose shook off poor shooting early to hit clutch shots late and Carlos Boozer had 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Chicago Bulls to a 104-95 preseason victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night. KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam has been subpoenaed to appear in a videotaped deposition in a civil lawsuit against the Pilot Flying J truck-stop chain owned by the family of Haslam and his brother, Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam.According to a court notice filed Friday in Franklin County, Ohio, Jimmy Haslam was served with a notice to appear at the deposition in Knoxville on Dec. 13.The lawsuit was filed by companies that declined to participate iin an $85 million settlement between Pilot and 5,500 trucking companies in connection with a scheme to cheat customers out of promised discounts and rebates. Alabama hired former Southern California coach Lane Kiffin on Friday as its offensive co-ordinator and quarterbacks coach. Zlatan Ibrahimovic Jersey . Kiffin returns to the Southeastern Conference after head coaching stints with the NFLs Oakland Raiders, Alabama rival Tennessee and the Trojans. He replaces Doug Nussmeier, who left Alabama for Michigan. "He is an outstanding and creative offensive coach who has great experience both at the college and NFL level," coach Nick Saban said in a statement. "He has a very good understanding of the game and I have always been impressed with what I saw in the games he called. He coaches with a great deal of passion and enthusiasm, and also does an excellent job as a teacher." Kiffin spent a week in Tuscaloosa, Ala., last month exchanging ideas with Saban and his staff and observing Alabamas offence. Now, hes the splashiest hire of Sabans tenure at Alabama, which has won three national titles in the past five seasons. The 38-year-old Kiffin was 28-15 in three-plus seasons with USC. He was fired five games into last season from one of college footballs marquee jobs. Kiffin spent six seasons (2001-06) at USC under Pete Carroll as an assistant, including the final two as offensive co-ordinator. He also called plays during his time as a head coach. He spent the 2009 season at Tennessee, going 7-6 before leaving to replace Carroll. "We want to thank the University of Alabama and Coach Saban for this tremendous opportunity, and we feel humbled and honoured to be a part of the Crimson Tide family," Kiffin said in a statement. "Ive always had the utmost respect for what Coach Saban has done with his programs. Having the unique opportunity to be here last month, I was able to meet some of the great players and the great people in the organization, and Im very excited to start working with them. "Weve seen the passion and support of the Alabama fans firsthand, and when thats combined with the storied history and tradition of the program, this is a very special place to coach." Now, Kiffin is tasked with finding a replacement for quarterback AJ McCarron, the Heisman Trophy runner-up. One potential contender, Alec Morris, posted on his Twitter page "Love it" after the hiring. His hiring creates a high-profile pairing with Saban, who along with defensive co-ordinator Kirby Smart has routinely fielded one of the nations best defences while also putting up solid numbers with a pro-style offence. Kiffin was part of two national championships as a USC assistant under Carroll. He ran the offence from 2005-06 and was passing game co-ordinator the previous year, when quarterback Matt Leinart won the Heisman. The Trojans averaged 49.1 points and 579.8 total yards per game when Kiffin was offensive co-ordinator. The Tides lone meeting with Kiffins Volunteers proved pivotal during the 2009 national championship season. Terrence Cody blocked two field goals in the fourth quarter to preserve a 12-10 Alabama win and the Tides title hopes. Kiffin did run afoul of SEC Commissioner Mike Slive during his stay at Tennessee. After Kiffin was publicly dismissive of his second reprimand from the league, this one for criticizing officials, Slive issued a letter warning him that further such comments from he or his staff would lead to a suspension from at least one game. Kiffin had questioned why officials didnt penalize Cody for unsportsmanlike conduct when the defensive lineman removed and threw his helmet after his second block on the games final play. He also said at the time that he decided to let the clock run down instead of trying to run another play before the kick because he was concerned about the officiating. No terms of the deal with Alabama were released, pending formal approval by the universitys board of trustees. Will Keane Jersey . The Braves optioned outfielder Jose Constanza to Triple-A Gwinnett. As expected, the Braves also called up right-hander Julio Teheran from Gwinnett to start Sundays game and optioned backup catcher J. Luke Shaw Manchester Jersey . A lovely summer day in England with abundant sunshine and minimal wind allowed him to attack Royal Liverpool.REGINA -- Andrew Harris gave the B.C. Lions exactly what they were looking for -- a boost and a win. Harris provided a spark Saturday night and the Lions defence pitched a second-half shutout in a 26-13 victory over the Saskatchewan Roughriders at Mosaic Stadium. Harris racked up 203 total yards and scored one touchdown to lift the Lions (1-2), who had been playing with a listless offence the first two weeks of the season, to their first win. The Riders, meanwhile, have lost two straight and share the same record heading into their bye week. "I think the confidence is building with our offensive line a and we were embarrassed last week (in Montreal) and so we really came back with a vengeance tonight," said Harris. "We have to build off of this now and take this confidence and go forward with it." The all-star running back racked up 145 total yards in the first half, including 94 yards along the ground. His 58-yard run for a touchdown late in the first quarter gave the Lions an 11-0 advantage and was the teams lone major in the opening two quarters. Harris finished the night with 132 yards rushing and 65 receiving, both of which were team highs. "This was a character win more than anything," Harris said. Quarterback Kevin Glenn, who had thrown six interceptions in his first two games with the Lions, played turnover-free football on Saturday. He completed 16 of 27 pass attempts for 170 yards and one touchdown. Glenns 20-yard touchdown strike to Courtney Taylor midway through the fourth quarter gavve the Lions a 26-13 lead and sent the majority of the 32,864 spectators scrambling for the exits. Sergio Romero Jersey. "Its hard to come in here and get a win," Lions linebacker Solomon Elimimian said. "They had a great crowd here and thats the kind of crowd you want to play in front of. Its just a you against the world kind of feeling and it makes you depend even more on that guy next to you, trust in your teammates even more."
