Arkansas fell to 13-2-0 and 6-1-0 in league play following the loss.Senior captain Chelsea Drennan added a pair of assists, while attacker Daija Griffin tallied her first goal of the season before registering an assist on South Carolinas final goal of the afternoon. Both teams finished the match with 10 shots, and the Gamecocks held Arkansas to just two attempts on frame over the final 45 minutes. Carolina attempted three corner kicks compared to just two for the Razorbacks.After heading to the break tied at one, Carolina reclaimed the lead in the 50th minute when Groff notched her fifth goal in SEC play. The Gamecocks were awarded a free kick near midfield, and junior forward Savannah McCaskills ball into the box fell to Groff, who used her head to float the ball past Arkansas goalkeeper Cameron Carter to make it 2-1.South Carolinas lead was pushed to two in the 60th minute following a great pass in the box by Drennan.
