DETROIT -- The Detroit Red Wings finally broke through on the power play.
Ryan Quigley Jersey . Henrik Zetterberg had
two goals and an assist, and Pavel Datsyuk and Niklas Kronwall each had a goal
and two assists to lead Detroit in a 5-2 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on
Saturday night. Todd Bertuzzi also scored for Detroit, which had three
power-play goals to snap its 0-for-10 season-opening man-advantage skid.
Daniel Alfredsson had three assists and Jimmy Howard made 32 saves. Bertuzzi
opened the scoring, with the Red Wings first power-play goal of the season, 7:13
into the game. He put a wrap-around effort past Emery for Bertuzzis first goal,
just 24 seconds after Michael Raffl went off for hooking. "That was huge. We got
one, Bert just got it done on his own, I think it loosened the guys up and after
that we were able to move the puck and get pucks back," Detroit coach Mike
Babcock said. "So that was a real positive thing for us. You need your scorers
to score to win games. But they got to get their confidence and in order to do
that you got to score a little bit so this should be a good thing for us."
Babcock moved Bertuzzi up to the first line for the game along with Datsyuk and
Zetterberg. "I thought we entered the zone pretty good, we moved the puck around
quite a bit and most important thing, we shot the puck," Bertuzzi said. "We got
the puck to the net and we had traffic around there and we had some good plays,
that was the key, moving it and getting as many shots as we can."
Erik Gustafsson and Tye McGinn scored for Philadelphia and Ray Emery stopped 25
shots. Flyers interim coach Craig Berube dropped to 1-2 since replacing the
fired Peter Laviolette on Monday. "You dont ever want to get comfortable with
losing," Berube said. "But we played a solid game, a lot of urgency. We were
competitive, but it wasnt enough." Kronwalls power-play goal with 8:52 left in
the second period gave Detroit a 2-0 lead. Kronwalls first goal of the season
came on a wrist shot from the left circle. Gustafsson put Philadelphia on the
board just 34 seconds later when his floating wrist shot from the right point
bounced in front of Howard and found its way into the net. "I just kind of threw
it at the net and it was almost there and I got the good bounce," Gustafsson
said. Datsyuk restored the two-goal lead with his power-play goal 3:08 into the
third period, beating Emery with a backhand shot from the slot that was screened
by Bertuzzi. McGinn made it 3-2 with his first NHL goal, 2:38 later. He
backhanded a rebound in from the slot after being called up from the minors
earlier in the day. Zetterberg scored with 6:12 remaining and added an
empty-netter in the final minute. NOTES: Flyers C Vincent Lecavalier (lower
body) and LW Scott Hartnell (upper body) both were out after being injured in

is out two to four weeks and Lecavalier will miss a week. ... Philadelphia

Rapids of the AHL. Red Wings coach Mike Babcock also shook up his other lines

who has finished runner-up in this tournament twice, was in second place after a

Keyshawn Johnson Jets Jersey . Here are his
mid-season NBA awards. MVP: (KEVIN DURANT-Thunder) - Has been sensational this
season and more importantly, the most consistent player in the league.
Considering that his team has been without star guard Russell Westbrook and with
the free agent departure of sharpshooter Kevin Martin, hes had to carry the
majority of the load to not only keep his team afloat but more importantly, at
an elite level.

. Detroit and Boston are deadlocked, 1-1, and Tigers manager Jim Leyland could
be forgiven if he was caught rationalizing instead of dissecting how his club
could blow a 5-1 lead late in Game 2. TAMPA, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Lightning
were determined not to lose two straight at home. Team captain Martin St. Louis
did more than his share to make sure it didnt occur. St. Louis had two goals and

Kings 5-1 on Tuesday night. Tampa Bay was coming off a 5-4 loss to Pittsburgh
Saturday night in which Matt Niskanen scored a tiebreaking power-play goal with
18.6 seconds left. "It was important to answer," St. Louis said. "I felt like we
gave up at least one point last game. In his league at home, youve got a
homestand, you cant lose two in a row. I thought we answered pretty well from
the get-go." St. Louis has four goals and 10 points during a five-game point
streak. He assisted on Malones goal for his 900th point with the Lightning.
Including his time with Calgary, St. Louis has 922 points, which is 94th on the

St. Louis. "He still considers himself a young kid. And to just be able to have
a front row seat, Im glad Im here to watch this." Ryan Malone, Teddy Purcell and

pulled late in the second after allowing three goals on 17 shots. Quick had a
3-0 record with an 0.55 goals-against-average in four previous games against

Sami Salos shot just 19 seconds into the game. "I thought we did a good job of
getting off to a good start," said Bishop, who made 30 saves. "Score on the
first shift like that, big momentum for our team and we kind of kept it going."
Purcell made it 2-0 from the low left circle on Tampa Bays eighth shot with 7:16
left in the first. "Weve got to just regroup after this game, throw it out and
realize we need a lot better effort and a lot better detail out of our game,"
Kings defenceman Matt Greene said. "We just didnt break their speed. Weve got to
do a better job in the neutral zone to kind of combat that, and we didnt do a
very good job tonight. Weve just got to learn from it and move on." St. Louis
got his second goal of the game with 7:20 to play. Palat scored late in the
third to extend the Lightning lead to 5-1. Voynov hit the post late in the first
for the Kings, who had a goal 32 seconds into the second disallowed because of
incidental contact with the goalie. Los Angeles also failed to score during a
4-minute power after Salo received a high-sticking penalty at 3:08 of the
